May'le is monologing. Also, now we know what was so special about that arrow.

Plot: Some much-needed character development on May's part. She's really frustrated because her friends only see the jester side of her- the part that's quirky, funny, and over-the-top. But May is actually pretty intelligent and she has deeper feelings. However, all of her friends expect her to behave like a jester, so she's afraid of expressing these emotions and often feels pretty lonely.

Art: More of the same. Her legs are a bit beefier, thank gawd… my drawing keeps getting more elongated and angular, but I don't think it's a bad thing. I'm certainly better than I was when I started. I'm a bit vain of her hair here… I used a stronger smudge for the texture and I think it makes a difference. Now, I really have to work on my consistency, making the characters look the same each time I draw them. It's difficult. On the plus side, May's braids have reached a constant length: they'll be down to her butt from here on out.

Comic: I know it's sappy, but I had a lot of stuff about her I needed to say quickly, and this was the easiest way. The split frame with her jester costume isn't her getting hacked up or anything. It's a metaphor. Gawd.

Coming Up Next: Look for more Phia. Mostly because I love her, and I've finally settled on her future. Or maybe something else…
