The Modders are called Lyddy (the one with the horns, a boy) and Ham (the porcupine head, actually a girl but pretty tomboyish). Ham speaks heavy Structure slang, an aspect of cyberpunk stories i always enjoy. Modders usually come in two varieties, the insecure attention seeking ones like Ham who change their skin color from green to purple like 5 times a month, and the pretentious hipsters like Lyddy who seek to express some inner whatever with their mods. Modders are anti-corp and always look down on brand loyals, often getting their mods off-brand (i.e. illegally) in some run-down shack in a dark corner.

Implanted mods are organic bits that get crafted onto you & absorbed by your tissue. While DNA mods mean altering the actual DNA, like making your skin produce scales instead of well, skin. Implants often have a limited life time, while DNA mods are permanent. And much more expensive.
