During contract signing his pay negotiations went on for a while, but for all the wrong reasons.

D.: Why give me pay so i can pay rent and food, i'm just gonna pay it back to you.
Iki: It's a matter of principle! You gotta learn to take care of yourself!
D.: Just deduct it from my overall pay.
Iki: Don't you wanna buy anything yourself? Buy your favorite food?
D.: I'll eat whatever you give me. My body can digest almost anything organic.
