This isn't quite as humorous as the rest recently… at least it has more change to the characters than the last appearance of Melody's parents. You can now tell that her father has eyes, and a moustache, at least.

You can't tell here, but Melody gets her eye color from her father - and her eye shape from her mother. Her hair comes from both of them, more or less. Mostly her mother.

I do like the stairs here. Something about iron-bar staircases makes it feel antiquated and a bit darker.

Regarding Melody's father's book - if you squint and tilt your head 180 degrees, then jab your eyes with forks, you can almost make out "Memento Mori." that was a last-minute edition (in Paint, because it came out clearer) which I felt important purely to show it was a book.

I had alternate titles, which I am withholding because I might use them later either in Mel&Mac or other works. But I think "Memento Mori" is to be a recurring theme in this series, so… why not?
