It's amazing how much work can be done in an afternoon. The headstone, the burial… it defies explanation.

That headstone's not cute, though. Girls are stupid.

I'm not really sure what I was doing with that headstone. I should have added a little more to the top.

As for the gravestone behind it… that says "Mr. Grinch - you were a mean one."

That woman to Emily's left - our right - is her mother. Can you tell? And she's not small, she's just… farther back…

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Regarding the sky - you may recognize it as the same dark hue as in Comic 9. I guess this occurs when it gets particularly cloudy?

And that girl to Emily's right - our left - is her best friend Heather. I actually intended to put her throughout the pages involving the class, since she does become important later, but I was terrified to figure out how to draw a dark-skinned person in this format.

I guess I did alright… just pretend she was always there, but the camera never focused on her, 'kay?

I was going to chicken out and name Ellie (the blonde with ringlets) Heather, since I still wanted to use the name (after a friend of mine, actually). But… meh, things worked out alright I think.

So, what's in store for Emily? Will she set forth a dastardly plan to erase those Melody loves from this mortal plane? Will she try to kill Melody herself? Will she go drown her sorrows in ice cream? Will she ride her pony?

…I'd personally just like to see her go Goth. A seven-year-old Goth girl, that'd be interesting.

(At any rate, the next Chapter isn't about her, so don't even expect to see her in it.)
