Ooooh, is it Death, or something else?

For those who don't know (I'm assuming that's all of you), Melody's room is loosely based off my own. Her bedroom door is farther from the wall than mine, implying that (lucky her) she may actually have a bigger room than I do, but her bed in relation to the door, and her closet in the far corner, is more or less right on track.

Aside from that and the white walls, though, her room is very different. She has no carpeting and practically no furniture aside from the bed.

I hope it came across that I was trying to emulate the Shadow People here, as it's a personal fear that I have (see Wikipedia for more details). I'm terrified that one night, I might look into the corner and see something, blacker than black, staring back at me in the darkness.

Something that feeds upon one's fears… or maybe even their flesh.

Or perhaps, even worse… their immortal souls?

I could have possibly drawn the second and fourth panels on their own, separate from each other, but I wanted to make absolutely certain that something had drastically changed, so I copy/pasted panel 2 (prior to drawing in the Shape and darkness), and then finished everything up.

I almost forgot that the Shape's eyes should be shining, and had to clean it up at the last minute before converting to bitmap for sizing and text (I actually resized prior to this, but I had a backup copy, so I managed to fix it at 2x size). It was then that I realized it wasn't scary enough. So I added in the red eyes.
