This was, quite frankly, boring to do. I did a lot of copying and pasting, which I subsequently found to be INADEQUATE. I had to redraw a good bit of that woman for the last panel (which inevitably became the third panel), then found that I had to redraw a good bit of her in EVERY panel purely so she didn't look stupid.

The candy bowl was a bit of a pain too, as I actally forgot it, and the bells, until I'd already copy/pasted the desk and the woman. Blargh.

It all came out alright, though, with a cute joke. Originally, I was just going to have them pass by her unnoticed, then I thought… that's four panels gone to waste. So, I had Death snag a piece of candy, and gave her a barely noticeable feeling of presence.

In case you aren't aware, she didn't see Melody because the girl's so short, and she didn't see Death because… well, she's reading.

Also, he's hard to see for most people. Of course.

In case you haven't noticed: I'm struggling a bit to remember how to draw Melody with her hair up. It's not going too badly, I think… I'll hafta finish up this chapter to see (in hindsight) if I've managed it well.
