It's almost as if Death knows he's in a comic. Creepy.

And I wonder if Melody lives in Corbeau.

Apologies again for anyone who saw Friday's comic early. If not… forget I said anything.

At any rate… hey, look! It's our friends Melody and Death! They've returned! Sorta…

I told you I'd change things up this week, didn't I? The upcoming pages will be even more different, since… well, you'll find out.

Regarding the name: As far as I've been able to tell, Corbeau means "Raven." This is, of course, keeping in line with a rather dark naming scheme. Mr. Barrows (burial mound), Ms. O'Byrne (from a series of derivatives ultimately leading to "raven"), Harridan County, in which the entire series as a whole takes place (a harridan being a vicious hag of a woman), the town of Corbeau (French for "raven")… um…

…That old lady, Mrs. Smith…

…Okay, that was a joke regarding it all. She's pretty much the exception.

I promise you, Melody's surname is also of this sort. And yes, I have a surname for her.
