Scene 6: Optimism

I like this cover. It's beautiful in its simplicity. I even worked out a strict format for the font to be placed in certain corners, now, too. From now on, I'm doing that BEFORE drawing anything. The second half of Act I will be done correctly, even if I don't have the full script!

This chapter should be good. Better than the last, at least. I know a good number of you like Death as a character, so you should enjoy this one.

You might be able to tell, but I haven't really managed a real "style" for the Soul Jewels yet. Though I do keep the same basic symbol (the Wing) in some way. Initially it was supposed to be just some appearance of a "shadow" or something, in whatever color (depending on the individual's aura)… or maybe it's a glint of the fire within.

At any rate, the three-feather wing shape can, in a sense, be a symbol for Death himself, as a sort of Fallen Angel. That's not to say that's what Death is in the continuity of the series, but it could nevertheless apply to him.

I just think it looks cool. And look! They have a shiny new green friend! I wonder who it could be…
