Oh, don't worry, Death. You mentioned the population. :D

In case you haven't noticed, I've revived (and partially perfected) the "shadow" on Death. I decided to draw it as if the darkness was "shining" from below and behind him.

Also, I totally gave Melody a nose. Check Panel 3. it's very hard to see, but it's there. I probably won't do it again, it looks a little weird with the current style.

I'm going a bit minimalist on the background here because I'm in a rush to get to bed. I really don't want to stay up 'til 5 perfecting my TREES AND HOUSES.

Though I probably should. That garage is a bit lop-sided.

My initial version for his final line here (at least, in the revised script) was that he was like a garbage man - picking up the unwanted garbage (i.e. people who have overstayed their welcome) so we can stack on more. It's nice, but it would have required way too much thought, as I didn't mention the above explanation. Just that he was like a garbageman.

…Meh.

More art thoughts: I think I've instinctively decided (on a completely subconscious level) that Death should be about twice Melody's height. The problem is, of course, I don't really have a good grip on how tall Melody is.

I guess that will fix itself instinctively too.

Why I bring this up is because I initially wasn't sure if I could make a standard for Death's size compared to ANYONE, and therefore intended his size to change depending on his (read: my) mood.

At any rate… I'm gonna go to bed. This chapter is actually a bit depressing for me to think about (death and whatnot), so I'm gonna go curl up in the fetal position and rock myself to sleep.
