I guess Death could imply a limbo-like stagnation, of extreme boredom and nothingness, not unlike the situation Simon is currently dealing with.

By the way, it's totally been almost a month since we last saw him. Optimism, Page 10 went up on May 23rd. If I decide to continue to Scene 8 next week, Monday will mark a month since he first ended up at the garage.

From our timeline, of course. It's only been a few hours for him.

Random car note: I had it resized before copypasting Ray's Garage into Panel 4. Funny note - I have everything but Simon pre-drawn, as nothing actually MOVES except for him. And Mr. Towman's shoes.

Seriously, check his shoes in every comic Ray's Garage feature in. The lines on the soles change, because I forgot to put them in first. And I think I'll keep it like that, 'cuz it makes for some humor for any of those obsessive fans out there who tell me Melody's eyes change from asymmetrical to symmetrical and Death's shadow keeps disappearing and reappearing.

So, in other words - it's a joke for myself.

At any rate, the only panel fully drawn specifically for this comic is Panel 2. Which suuucks. That's why I lifted Panels 1 and 3 from yesterday's comic, haaa.

By the way: The song on the radio was (Don't Fear) The Reaper. I guess I should have added more to it, eh?
