Scene 9: An Unholy Child

This image is actually swiped and duplicated from my sketchbook. A sort of weird looking-from-below image. Also the first time Death appears as a Genie-esque whisp of something-or-another. Or maybe a snake?

It was either this, or a camera, but I wanted something a little more complex for a change. Then again, cameras are complex, and I am entirely lazy. I also missed these two.

I'd been toying with various titles for this chapter, particularly because this has very little to do with death as an event (most others do). I was also considering "The Evil Child," which would undoubtedly suggest, say… Emily, or… Jeffrey, or… that kid we only got to see half of for almost the entire time we saw him.

This is more ambiguous though. Unless you've actually been PAYING ATTENTION TO THE STORY.

I was also considering a Latin phrase, but it was the very last moment and I couldn't make it past the D's on Wikipedia. The best I came up with was Absit Omen. Which would have been great if I could actually remember that every time I added a page. I honestly wouldn't have.

It's best to go with my gut, eh? I do that when writing, I might as well do it with titles.
