The sad part is, Simon doesn't even realize he just made a pun.

I hope it's visible enough to tell that the sign's been damaged by the accident. That's not the Boogeyman or anything.

So, a new day begins. You can tell because Simon is wearing a sky-blue shirt and an ugly yellow jacket.

My original concept for Simon included this jacket, and I went through many ideas of exactly how much of the color came through. Originally, much of my comics were going to be black and white (probably not even shading), with only red for blood when it occurred later, and possibly certain special colors - such as the purple bench where Death talks to Melody, and ugly pea-green or baby-vomit-yellow jacket Simon wears. I really wanted it to stand out just how poor his fashion sense is.

But… meh. When I started applying it here, I realized that it would be too much, so I dulled the color down. I am planning to gently lead my pallette back to black and white. At least dulling the grass and sky a bit more, soon. That's all just… way too much.

For now, though… Yay, Simon! I originally had the shot of the sign in Panel 3, but upon adding in the text, I realized that the way I drew it all (it was in Panel 4 at the time, since it's the same setup as ReaperWatch, Page 6) made the story flow better if it was at the end again… so I rewrote the page. Which is good. Because the original joke sucked. He looked at the sign, you saw the sign busted and wrecked (possibly with the wreckage still there), he commented that it wasn't normal.

Yawn.

This chapter won't really be anything new, but I should probably address a correction from earlier on. Back in Scene 5 (ReaperWatch), the e-mail Heather sent to him mentioned Melody by name. My bad. I didn't actually want that, I don't really know why I added it, but I shouldn't have. So until I can fix that, please disregard that part, and assume Simon has no idea who he's looking for. Just a girl. With the Grim Reaper.
