Well, to be fair, little girls hold plenty of conversations with corpses.

I was planning on changing this entire comic if I found out I accidentally put leaves on the tree behind the bench. Luckily I didn't, so I didn't have to make a joke at my own expense ("Why does that tree still have leaves?").

This bench is the exact color that it was in Scene 1. Almost everything else is not. The grass, however, is more dull than it has been, as I try and inch everything back to grayscale. Unfortunately, that's the only thing I dulled.

I'll work on the rest later.

I had fun with this one. It dragged on longer than I wanted it to (drawing it, that is), but I enjoyed drawing the little old lady, and Simon too. The tree left something to be desired, and I'm seriously only happy I didn't sit anybody down on that horrible bench. But Simon turned out pretty well. And I wish that little old lady would show up more.

Random note, she's the one who was walking her dog. You can see the leash there. I forgot to draw in the dog because I was originally going to do them to about shin-level, and I figured she'd have a small dog, so it wouldn't show. But then I decided to draw the feet, so um… let's pretend it ran away, alright?

(But no, it's not FiFi.)

This is the first time you see Simon's camera. I always intended to have him with a camera, due to the fact that he would be constantly snapping pictures hoping the Grim Reaper (or some sort of spectral manifestation) would appear. He was originally going to be a hardcore tabloid journalist, obsessed with Death. I just really, really wanted to keep that camera.

He'll be using it, don't worry.
