OH SH–!

So, it seems Death isn't as infallible as he likes to believe. I promise you, though, this turn of events is consistent with the series' logic.

This was actually a fun comic to draw. I should NOT be having this much fun with a comic. XD

Every panel was drawn independently (as opposed to copying and pasting), with exception of the blood spatter, which I drew in Panel 4 and copied over to Panel 3. I mostly did it because I was having fun drawing Melody, with only one ribbon in. Plus, I'm having fun with perfecting making Death's head still look like a skull.

Can you tell that's his arm there in Panel 3?

I had many things planned for Panel 3 (as I only had dialogue for three panels, and Panel 1 was supposed to be silent, with Melody talking in Panel 2, and Death's response in Panel 3). One was simply spreading out the last part with "Dammit" in the third panel, though his expression wasn't right. The other idea was simply him telling Melody not to mention it to anyone. Ultimately, I just stuck with a comment on the mess (which I don't think I'll show, due to the gruesomeness of a woman with no eyes and a hole in the chest - plus, I have no idea how to draw it).

You may have noticed I've changed Death's speech bubbles a bit, making them rounder (and more bold all the way around). I plan to do this with any and all beings of shadowy form. I still have a bit of a "shadow" with it, I guess… it's a bit iffy.

I don't think I have anything more to say at the moment, but… this isn't the last we've seen of Samael, that's for sure.
