I hope you can see Arrows' statement in panel 3. If not, I can move it.

I hate recreating that damn blood spatter. I accidentally reversed it in the last page (go see, it's funny if you like continuity errors).

Anyway… this scene (as well as a couple others) was originally going to feature a running joke of the rookie not being allowed to talk, though he does anyway. With stupid or naive (or often correct) questions about details and whatnot. But, as I lost the original script, we're not going to see that, are we?

I think this joke was in there too, actually… so I guess we're not losing everything.

I do like the joke about 13, though. I have a bit of an obsession with the number. Doesn't hurt that it's the card of Death in the Tarot's Major Arcana.

Captain Waters is not in today's comic due to a death in the family. Our thoughts go out to Captain Waters. Also, I didn't feel like drawing three people in one panel. Assume he's off to the side.
