And OMG, MORALS! As I've said, this is a sort of personal message, as I do feel I've become a bit like Simon, wasting my life on a hermit life and pointless pursuits. I forget that, rather than obsessing about death, I should be enjoying my life. Making the best of what short time I have.

Because we all really have just a short time, don't we?

I don't know if you all have noticed, but this entire comic is really a personal thing. The series addresses many themes I think about constantly - fear, obsession, and (of course) death. Plus a lot of other stuff that would make a therapist squeal with glee.

I think a person would HAVE to be personally involved in a comic to really be obsessed enough to spend more than a year writing and drawing it, though, don't you think?

(Oh, by the way, I did the math - it'll take over a year to finish Melody & Macabre. Seriously, like… it might go into June or something, because of my Halloweeny detour.)
