That's a bit ominous. Or not.

You can't deny, though, there's something upsetting in Ace's toothy smiles. I think I figured it out - he reminds me a bit too much of the Joker. Pre-DK. Which is weird, given the similar (but wholly unintentional) card naming.

I could almost imagine Simon's encounter with his mother:

"What's going on? Is that your daughter? Who's the mother? There'd be a wedding, I don't want a bastard granddaughter!"
"She's not mine, Mom, she's an orphan without a family."
"You don't need a sister, and I don't need another child in the house!"
"I'm not a child, Mom!"

Another instance of changing text for images - I didn't actually intend to have Ace snap there, just point off randomly, but the snap changed my "There is a place, though," to "Aha! I got it!" Not a big change, obviously.

Have any of you had really good artwork, that you were supremely proud of - then lost all progress because of a stupid mistake? Yeah, that's what happened with this comic. All images are Second Generation, because I closed without saving at one point - I'd forgotten I even had it open, and was thinking I was only closing a different image that I DID save. So yeah, I'm not as happy with this than I was with the version before it. Ah, well.
