Haaa, it's funny because she's small and her parents hated her.

It's also kinda depressing.

The thing I like about Simon is, since he's like a version of me (albeit with dirty blonde hair and glasses), he can serve as the voice of artist, thereby giving some unnecessary exposition. Ace, too, actually.

"Hey, can you possibly get her back into her regular outfit without having to waste time on it?"
"Oh, fine."

If I get less lazy and feel like rewriting Mel&Mac, I'll redo it to have Ace actually take Melody and stand outside her bedroom door waiting for her to change and pack, talking to her through the door. Enter shown punchline.

I actually wasn't going to put this out in the darkness - I figured he'd be at a hotel and they'd end up in the hall. Hell, I figured this whole page would be in the room still, but I was sick of it (you only get one last glimpse of it behind Simon). So then I remembered that Simon's probably on a strict budget (I doubt he has a job) and Corbeau probably doesn't have any hotels either. Which leads to a cheapo motel. View of the scenery from a balcony, sure, but you might as well just go outside and stand on the walkway.

I'm sure they have a pool, at least. Yay. Too bad it's frickin' NOVEMBER.

I think the interesting revelation here is that Melody has clothes to pack. I figure, besides her regular outfit and nightgown, she probably has clothes for every season. I came up with this purely because those who drew fanart drew her in other clothing, making me think "Hey… I just realized, a sweater sucks for summer weather."

And a skirt sucks for fall weather, but… eh, let's not nitpick.

What really sucks is, Melody & Macabre does only take place during a week in November, which means I can't draw her in anything but what you've seen.

Maybe someday.
