Get your heads out of the gutters, ya creeps.

So, a few things about our new friends. Let's start with Spring. Her name doesn't involve the flower on her shirt, but the fact that she's very… well, bouncy. I'm starting to think she might have been Emily, had she never been spoiled or had a dog die in the arms of a classmate.

Meanwhile, Long John there is actually named John, and as a coincidence, he likes to wear long underwear. Over that, jeans and suspenders. I dunno why, it's just a quirk of his.

Speaking of quirk… poor little Glitch there has… well, issues. I actually intended to name him Speck in the beginning, though I realized that followed up too close to Spring. Next people would be wondering if LJ is named "Stretch." Then, I decided on Twitch, but given his personality, I feared it would be too close to Tweek (from South Park). Last minute change, Glitch. Because there's something massively wrong with his brain, heh.

I actually had a number of others drawn out when I originally considered the Orphans. There was a rather large fellow, and a small boy in antique pilot goggles. Unfortunately, I felt it all to be way too much to draw, as well as too many characters to try and develop, so I stuck to the ones who would have the most impact upon Melody's stay here. Long John, the leader; Spring, the one most willing to befriend (which is something she needs, eh?); and… well, Glitch.

Again with no shading. I actually had more time today, but I forewent shading and backgrounding due to the fact that I hate it. I'll point out the beds and such when the story relies on it.
