Burn~!

So, today was a pretty easy one, of the olde fashioned "Draw one panel and edit it" variety. I think it's also retconned a few things, like the height of the doorway at the end of the tube room. Oh, well.

I think what bothers Death most about Simon is the fact that he's so polite towards him, in a way that seems like he's forcing it. Hell, Samael did it out of worship. Simon just does it because he doesn't quite know how to address what is essentially his own mortality.

Hm. That's an odd way of looking at it. (Sorry, random musing.)

One thing I enjoy about doing this series is, every character has their own view about death. Go ahead, look around at everybody and see their own reactions towards it. A lot of it is literal (like Arrows, who covers up his own disgust by distancing himself, narrating his life as if it was a pulp novel), but some of it is symoblic (Ace, who wants to cheat Death, overcome it, control it).

I think Simon just wants to understand the truth about Death.

I don't think I even intended something that deep when I first thought of this stuff, but it's there. It's weird how things work out like that.
