Character set 1 + synopsis

Hakka Enikaen Hatsura is the 2nd daughter of the Hatsura Clan ruler. She is a 21 year old golden-haired girl who has golden eyes, as almost all the Hatsura. She is usually seen as a weakling by her peers, but she’s strong-minded and persevering. Although she’s a physically strong woman due to her harsh life, she is known as a weak person in her group, even though she owns a great power that she can slightly use when she doesn’t control her emotions. Hakka is cursed by the “Wound of Origin”, an ancient curse left by her ancestor, Kaori Laennetha Hatsura, which spread a dark power through the world and is a threat for the equilibrium.
Born as the heir of the Hatsura Clan, she was supposed to perpetuate the Clan’s pure blood by giving birth to the next heir on her 16th birthday. Moreover, she was supposed to marry her cousin, Bertrand Patrick Hatsura, who died by Hakka’s hands.
While she was walking in the forest near the Hatsura Shrine the day before her 16th and her wedding, she met an old man who pretended to be the king, Ankhol Eighnal . After a long conversation, he gave to Hakka the Divine Sword of Darkness Tsukikage (Shadow of the Moon). The day of her wedding, Hakka killed her cousin and ran away from the Hatsura Shrine. She was cursed by the curse of the Tsukikage, which attracts monsters. After that, Hakka lived as a bounty hunter, doing almost every job she could have during her adolescence. She met Thanatos Lienn at the Hunter Village, who said to be named Thane. She started travelling with this talkative boy in order to break up with her loneliness. When following Thane’s proposition, she encountered the Devil Hunter Nero, who started to work for her. Hakka became heavily indebted towards Nero.
During her travel with Nero and Thane, she met Luchor “Yuki-Onna”, Nero’s wife, Pandemonium, Nero’s Master, the prince Veekhtaur Brilliant and his wife Gloria Brilliant at a party organized by Veekhtaur. After seducing her a little, Gloria helped Hakka to break up with her past and to become Soul Dancer by meeting the spirit of the Distorted Word of Faith, Astharoth.
While travelling to the eternal land of Gaaldania, Hakka’s presence accidentally awaked an Archeosaurus, whose power separated the group, leading Hakka to meet her big sister, Dystopia Hannah Hatsura, the abandoned child of her clan and Dystopia’s girlfriend, Enclaim Prism. The Archeosaurus became her first shikigami, a soul bounded to another one by a pact.
In the land of Gaaldania, she met the lord of Proxima, Rubican, who defeated all her friends without being injured even once. Rubican explained to her the legend of the creation of the world and why he had come to kill her. But Hakka, Nero, Enclaim and Dystopia managed to escape with the help of the alchemist Hevan. She fell in love with the Mononoke Fox Spirit Izuna and continued to share her body with the Dimensional World Spirit Astharoth.

Thanatos Lienn, aka Thane, is a 26 year old childish and talkative boy who can be mature and intelligent when he gets serious, which is a rare phenomenon. He’s a world-renowned alchemist, known for being the lover of the queen of the Ormelia Country. He has been accused of the murder of the queen, even though it was Rubican’s action. He travelled with Hakka Enikaen Hatsura in order to forget his past and his love, but encountered Rubican who explained him why his love, Elizabeth, was killed. He tried to fight against Rubican, but he was killed in the end.

Nero is the Devil Hunter of the Alurna Continent. He runs an agency named 'Devil Hunter Agency' in the capital, Alurna, and is officially considered as the second Devil Hunter of the Devil Hunter Order, but in fact, he is the third. His species is unknown, and he travels around the world with Hakka Enikaen Hatsura in order to explore it while dealing with his Devil Hunter job. He is 34 years old even though he looks like a 20 year old boy, which is another strange thing about him. His actions are under the strict control of the Sacred Order of Neilhym since he can use the power of darkness. His master,Pandemonium, taught him the manipulation of the fire element and he seems to be linked to the alchemist Hevan. He is Dystopia Hannah Hatsura’s best friend.

Luchor “Yuki-Onna” is Nero’s wife and the fourth Saint of the Sacred Order of Neilhym. She is the renowned Snow Priestess of the Northern continent. She is 23 and her past is totally unknown, since she never talks about it to anyone else than Nero. However, her title of Saint makes her feel uncomfortable towards her husband since the Sacred Order strictly controls Nero’s activities.

Astharoth is the spirit that lives in the Dimensional World of Faith created by Kaori Laennetha Hatsura in order to seal her power and her memory there. Astharoth is Kaori’s lover who locked herself in the Dimensional World for more than one million years. She shows herself to Hakka Enikaen Hatsura when she was walking in the Dimensional World because Hakka was the exact replica of Kaori.
Still in love with her departed girlfriend, Astharoth tries to push her love onto Hakka, considering her as a substitute of Kaori. She gives Hakka her power and sometimes possesses her body. Astharoth's species is unknown as her age. A third eye appears on Hakka’s body when Astharoth possesses her.

Dystopia Hannah Hatsura is a 34 year old woman who looks like a 16 year old very thin girl. She can’t to grow old because Rubican, the lord of the Proxima Kingdom, froze her time with his power. She was the 2nd pupil of Pandemonium with Nero, and became his first and best friend during their training on a nameless island. Dystopia lived as a soldier in Proxima’s army since the age of 11, whose power was so big that it reached Rubican’s eye, who named her captain of the Royal Army. She killed her battle comrade in a war because he was too slow and was allowed to fight alone, which is very rare at Proxima.
Dystopia is an first-class assassin, and acted as the murder machine until she met Enclaim Prism, who taught her that fight and murder weren’t the only things in the world. She fell in love with Enclaim Prism and left the army of Proxima in order to travel around the world with her. During her travel, she met her little sister, Hakka Enikaen Hatsura, in the Forest of Despair and tried to kill her. On Enclaim’s order, she accepted to listen to her sister’s story and found out that the two of them had almost the same hardships, and decided to give up on killing her and decided to protect her sister’s life. She defeated the Archeosaurus with the help of Nero and Thanatos Lienn, allowing Hakka to make a pact with the Archeosaurus’ soul.
She tried to protect Hakka in front the Statue of Eternity in Gaaldania’s Swamp during the battle against Rubican, but she lost and ended up critically injured. She rests in the Temple of The Moon and is healed by Enclaim Prism and by the two priestess.

Enclaim Prism is a yōukai. Her yōukai species is unknown, but she seems to have lived over 1000 years, according to Rubican’s words. Her past is unknown, as her age is also unknown. She’s Dystopia Hannah Hatsura’s lover and is a known Rubican. She is a very powerful yōukai that controls the crystal and the light element. She’s friendly and seductive and is also repulsive to fight. She helped Hakka, Nero and Dystopia in the fight against Rubican, but was also defeated. She stood with Dystopia, refusing to go anywhere without her.

Rubican is the lord of Proxima. He is not a yōukai even though he can rule over all the yōukai species and over all the darkness. He often calls him himself “all the winds that embrace the world and all the shadow sleeping in its heart”. Rubican’s age is estimated by the alchemist Hevan at 601,603,025 years, but Rubican himself often say that he’s older. Nobody knows his real age. He masters the power of darkness and the power of stars and is a friend of Pandemonium, and also know Hevan. He wants to kill Hakka Enikaen Hatsura because she’s a disturbance for his plans and is the ex-superior of Dystopia Hannah Hatsura and a relative of Enclaim Prism. He knows everything about the world, the universe, the Gods, and the living including Hakka, Nero, Thane, Enclaim, Dystopia, etc.
Rubican is also the true murderer of Queen Elizabeth Maria and the murderer of Thanatos Lienn. But he killed so many people that nobody can tell the exact amount. Ruling over the Proxima Kingdom, the clan of war, he remains the most powerful ruler of the entire world, and his power seems to know no limits.
Incredibly powerful, he’s rarely seen by the people because he usually spends his time in his room, acting like a hikikomori. His favorite food is doughnuts, and nobody knows exactly what he wants. As Nero, his species remains unknown, but Rubican knows what he is.

Pandemonium is Nero and Dystopia Hannah Hatsura’s master. Almost nothing is known about him. Pandemonium is also the Devil Hunter Order’s furnisher and a friend of Rubican. His age is unknown, as his species remains unknown also. Some people supposed that he could be a yōukai, but he does not look like one. He’s supposed to be able to master the fire element and the dark element.

Hevan is an alchemist and a historian that studied the Hatsura Clan’s history for years. He knows almost everything about this clan and seems to be very powerful since even Nero avoids fighting against him. His age is unknown, but he is supposedly human. He masters alchemy and the ice element, but it is supposed that he can use almost all of the elements, including the power of darkness or the saint power of light. Hevan’s past is totally unknown. He knows Rubican and Pandemonium, knows everything about Nero, knows Nero’s mother and everything about the whole Hatsura history. His goal is to find a certain item in Kaori Laennetha Hatsura’s temple and to kill Hakka in order to restore the world’s Equilibrium.

Izuna “Kotohana-no-Kitsune” is a yōukai of the Mononoke species. She is a kumiho, a species also named kitsune, and has lived over 1000 years since she became a wandering fox spirit. She wears the appearance of a beautiful woman, often seen bearing five tails which indicate that she lived over 500 years. Moreover, when the moon light bathes her, her true appearance is revealed and she appears as a fox-woman bearing nine tails. Her past is unknown since she refuses to talk about her human life.
Her date of birth is unknown, and she shows an unrestrained love for Hakka.

Character set 2

Veekhtaur Brilliant is the 5th Devil Hunter of the Order and runs an agency on the same continent as Nero, but isn’t a active Devil Hunter. He’s 34 years old and is a human who can use a multiform weapon. He’s more concerned about his toothpaste society than about his Devil Hunter job. This is the husband of Gloria Brilliant, a famous top model who runs a chain of restaurant all over the world.

Gloria Brilliant is the owner of one of the biggest chain of restaurants in the world and the ruler of the Soul Dancer Clan, created by Kaori Laennetha Hatsura and also Hakka’s mentor. She is a 36 year old woman who has been top model before her marriage with Veekhtaur Brilliant and now enjoy a passionate home life.

Tark Creycel is the 11th Devil Hunter and the only Devil Hunter that comes from the country of Proxima. He left his country in order to become Devil Hunter because of the important political state of the Order, allowing him to do almost everything he wants for his own profits. He possess the arm of the Golem of Illusion, which allows him to be completely invisible. His age is unknown, but he has been killed by Izuna “Kotohana-no-Kitsune”.

Megalith Gadenciero is the 16th Devil Hunter of the Order and can transform into a yōukai of the golem species . He is a human that discovered the Burning Clay Golem stone, allowing him to become a yōukai whenever he wants. He’s 53, and has been killed by Hakka Enikaen Hatsura while she was using Astharoth’s power.

Tsukumi-no-Ubume is the 1st Moon Priestess of the Moon Temple. She’s also Hevan’s shikigami, and an yōukai of the Ubume species. As all the Ubumes, she died at birth, and her adult form has been created by Hevan’s powers. Her age is unknown since it is linked to Hevan’s.

Kukui Tsurara-no-Onna is the 2nd Moon Priestess and also Hevan’s 2nd shikigami. She is a yōukai, as Tsukumi, but she is a Tsurara-Onna, an icicle woman, which leads to suppose that Hevan has met her while crossing over a frozen mountain. She’s 983 years old and her appearance is not her true one. She only shows her true face to Hevan.

The Archeosaurus is a gigantic dinosaur skeleton who has been awakened by Hakka’s curse. He was defeated and became Hakka Enikaen Hatsura’s shikigami until he got devoured by Astharoth gigantic power and disappeared. Hakka doesn't know about this and usually tries to call him, but she never gets an answer. His age is estimated to be 100,000 years.

Psychoetherose:
Rubican's definition: A rare and ancient thing… Psychoetherose is an hyper-sensibility to auras, which allows its host to growth in every element and become lot more powerful than the most of the living, including the Devil Hunters. It’s what we call “psychoetherose”. It’s an abnormal development of the sense, who allows its owner to resent every aura that is near the host.

Motherland: A place located in the Nine-Tails Graveyard, where Kumihoes come to die.

Kumiho (Kitsune Kumiho+[plural Kumihoes]): Kitsune Kumihoes are wandering fox spirit which generally takes the appearance of very beautiful women. They're generally friendly and spend most of their time in seducing the traveler. However, when the night comes, they can become very dangerous ; The moonlight reveal Kitsune Kumihoes' true appearance, which usually is a monstrous fox.
They usually wears a cat mask, but they can hide it whenever they want. Breaking the mask exorcise the beast and allow the soul to find eternal slumber. But nowadays, Kumihoes are extremely rare, and are seen as nature disaster or as benedictions, depending on traditions.
By the way, it's says that Kumihoes affectionate the Nine-Tails Graveyard, in the Altremare continent, because this is the place where they come to die. It's also said that Kumihoes can die many times without disappear.
