After school today I was driving along a busy hillside road with an empty tank of gas. My friend Chris was with me. I had stopped by his house to pick up a camera, but ended up convincing him to go do something with me for an hour.
I didn't have any "something" in mind. I just wanted to drive, and I didn't want to drive alone. As I climbed the hill, I passed a couldesac overlooking the city. An oncoming driver had to slam on his brakes as I made an illegal u-turn in a desperate attempt to reach my new-found destination.
I pulled into the couldesac, turned off the engine, and opened my door to get out. Chris asked me an appropriate question: "What are you doing?"
Usually looking down on a city from above helps me find clarity. Today was too foggy and I couldn't make much out. I tried to answer Chris' question, realized how crazy I was acting, got back in the car, and drove him home.
