Them running is probably the most logical thing that has happened. CrystalMan wasn't fast enough. Probably because he has no running sprites. I could have made one easily enough, but someone had to die, and he was at the end, so tough shit.

I wasn't aware you could do the Fire Temple without doing the Forest one first. Doesn't surprise me, though. It's nice to shoot them damn keese with arrows, though. One time I got almost half the masks in Majora's Mask including the Zora and Goron masks without completing the first dungeon, though I had to acquire the bow from the Windfall temple first. Except for the Giant's mask and the Fierce Deity's mask, I had all the masks before the last two temples. Given there's only 4 temples (5 including the moon), there's lots of masks. But my next OoT playthrough I'll hit the Fire Temple once I reach puberty. Won't be as fun without the bow, but there's the sling shot, I guess.

Have you ever fucked yourself over by catching the biggest fish in the pond before you should have? Then ya' gotta' wait until you're older. Anyways, I'm guessing it took Gannondorf about 7 years to fuck up Hyrule that badly, whilst looking for Zelda. And only having the Triforce of Power wouldn't have given him the power to mess up Hyrule in just a year, yet if he had the all the Triforce pieces, he could have wished Hyrule how it was after 7 years immediately, plus lock Link and Zelda away in the Sacred Realm.
