A character! And furniture!

The initial plan for this page was to have one of those composition notebooks on the desk with the character's name and grade, but showing the back of a wooden chair won out.

While I have some interest in furniture design, I'm afraid my skills aren't up to portraying anything too complicated at the moment. Thankfully at this point in the story I don't have any complicated furniture to show off.

One artist whose work I especially enjoy is Range Murata. His characters are always wearing interesting accessories or sitting on very precisely-articulated furniture with lots of very functional-looking metal and wire bits. If you haven't seen it already, take a look at Last Exile to get a feel for what I mean in animation. It's a steampunk show with an air combat element, so it feels a lot like a long-format Laputa: Castle in the Sky or a short Final Fantasy.
