That's a computer monitor on Degami's desk. The tower is between the desk and the corner, which is why the desk is pulled out from the wall on that side. It's closer to the window, but probably not ideal for air circulation.
At long last, more responses to comments!

One of the toughest things about character drawing is deciding what lines to use and what not to use for a face. You can get by just fine with a very small number of lines, especially if the ones you use make your characters stand out from each other. Unfortunately I tend to err on the side of too many lines, and some weird need to account for certain details sometimes but not all the time. I end up with a very inconsistent presentation of cheekbones and eyes, which I thought I might get better about as I went along. But since the drawings aren't all done at the same time, repetition alone isn't enough to maintain consistency. I really ought to use character model sheets.

The real Spacebraham Lincoln was taller.

I blame Newton's fashion sense and hairstyle. Einstein is so much more fun to draw.

I think it's safe to assume her dad is awesome.

Miracles don't happen in the world of Newtonian mechanics. You need quantum physics to explain those.

Indeed. It bothered me a bit when I saw that, until I remembered that it's a very obvious made-up-sounding name, which is exactly what I was going for. So there was no need to change it. But yes, for the record, "Eternal Diamondium" is not a Futurama reference.

From the Aubule. The sphere also changed size… from about the size of an orange to about the size of a plum. Since it doesn't conserve volume, either the density or the mass had to change. Like Odo in "Deep Space Nine"… except without becoming a liquid.

The overpronounced cheekbones return. And there's probably more than a few things I did with the lips and eyes and throat and hair that made her look waxy, rather than lively. I think there was a line in "Of Mice and Men" that's relevant here… I think it was the title.

I want to say it's a tulip, but there are too many interior petals and the leaves aren't the right shape. So… it's a space tulip. Which also explains why it's growing in the middle of the back lawn.

More stars visible in panel 6 than panel 5. Also slighly less hazy, so the moon's glow appears diminished.

It's to make up for all those pages where I didn't have anything to talk about. I tend to update in batches, and I tend to bunch my references.
Since I can't talk about my reasons for including things explicitly (since that risks spoiling the story), I do what I feel is the next best thing by naming my references and giving some clarification on what I associate them with. I encourage the curious reader to check them out, but it's certainly not required reading to understand Misfire Reactional.
Think of it as an Easter-egg. Like "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" used as elevator music in the Watchmen movie.
