Black Mountain is an actual mountain in the Adirondack Park in New York State. I doubt there's an actual coal-to-nuclear conversion power plant there.

That's not a "TIME" magazine in panel 4. It actually says "TIIIE". I'm still on the fence about whether to put in some fake Sony and Coca-Cola logos.

If you're wondering how Degami was able to track a helicopter in the darkness to an abandoned facility in the middle of a wilderness area the size of Vermont… she can fly. And she has that Address thingy.

Not In My Back Yard was a slogan used to protest the construction of power plants and waste treatment plants near residential areas. The acronym was NIMBY, which I thought sounded cute when they taught it to us in 5th grade.
