Chapter 5, page 3.

Panel 1: the central characters of (Gensomaden) Saiyuki, a retelling of the classic Journey to the West with deliberately anachronistic elements, including modern clothing, props, and ideas in an ancient Indian/Chinese setting.

Panel 2: Linna and Sylia from Bubblegum Crisis, which received a boost in popularity following the release of the updated TV series Tokyo 2040. While the staff and producers have gone on record saying they would like to make a sequel (tentatively, Tokyo 2041), they've cited timing of availability as the chief obstacle.

NuTech Digital is a company that emulated the Japanese model of adult entertainment video releases by putting out single-episode DVD volumes with high bitrates and at high retail prices. While this practice led to fan complaints over the high cost of collecting a series, the company found success among impulse buyers and online discounters. Among their catalog was the title Lingeries Office, which was animated by AIC not long after Tokyo 2040 and contains an amusing "cameo" of the two above.

Panels 4 through 7: aliens posing as humans from the TV series 3rd Rock from the Sun. Much like the series Dexter, most of the humor revolves around the central conceit of the show: that no one else knows who they really are, and thus doesn't know just how fitting their remarks made in jest would be "if they only knew".

Panel 8: Three identical Lupin III's doing a dance routine from West Side Story. Lupin is a master thief and master of disguise and impersonation. He typically wears a red or green (but sometimes other colors) jacket and makes general mischief, often as research or setup for some future crime.
