Few things.

Yes, Koko and Ryu live in a house boat, and before anyone asks, the bedroom was decorated to look like they live on an old-school ship, which is why the windows don't match. The port-holes are actually portraits with seascapes in them. Koko is a fan of bodice ripper high-seas romance novels.

And you may ask, why are they running if Shepherd was leaning on his car dramatically? Because…you have to start off an action-packed detective team-up with them running away to 70's wakka-chikka-wakka music. You're lucky they didn't jump off the doc just ahead of an explosion.

And, review, for those of you who were upset because Ryu is already a detective, here is Once again my reasoning behind it.

'Since he was dating Koko back in junior high, he always really wanted to be a cop with her. But of course, his dad found out and forbade him from doing it because he comes from a good upstanding mob family.

So, in a bout of teenage rebellion, he snuck in book after book of police e regulations and procedures into the house, reading under the sheets, studying with Koko at the park, and with his prison workout regimen, he's in top physical condition.

He basically got to the training facility with an almost flawless memory of how to be a detective, ran through the physical trails, breaking previous records, and also proved to have surprising insight to the workings of the criminal mind. He basically took the tests, passed wiht flying colors and, with the help of the Chief, passed through the system faster than any other new recruit.'

And if anyone still has issue with this…to paraphrase the MST3K theme song… Just say to yourself 'It's just a comic, I should really just relax.'

Shepherd and Crook have their own Logo. Spin-off? Maybe. If you're good.
