Okay. This comic is pretty wordy, but it exists for three reasons.

First, Mookie and Curry are the only two main members of the Panda crew that don't know Mika's full past. The other Pandas haven't been filled in about this ghost-watching phenomenon.

Second, a while back someone made the point that IF Mika's eye is blind and the eye itself is unseeing but she still sees spirits with it, then why wouldn't she not still see them through her eyelid? Let alone the eyepatch Nariko gave her. If shutting her eye was all it took, she would have figured it out by accident after a few weeks, right? Well, here's the reason. Nariko showed her a magic seal that blocks the spirit sight. A fan showed me a symbol for vision years ago and I friggin' lost it, so I made one.

And third, it answers the question 'Why isn't Mika afraid of guys anymore?' Well, she is, but much like the male goons, the boys are completely nonthreatening and not after her junk, so while she may still be a little uncomfortable, she can deal with it.

That's also why she LOOORVES the Doc early in this series. He's nonthreatening because he's as Gay as springtime. I've wanted to do a Gaydar gag for some time now, and the timing hasn't been right.

Just takin' a page to fill in those plot-holes.
