Answering two questions, one that was never asked, the other that was. Poor Curry, he tries so hard.

And that's right, most of the Boar clan are half Tengu, which is why they have the pointed ears and tusks. It's also why they're so tough and strong. The piggy noses comes from the other side's half. The two families have been marrying off their kids to strengthen the clan bonds while being able to stay separate clans.
