When researching the venom of a Gaboon Viper (the snake used as inspiration for Bazel), I found out it prevents blood from clotting and also causes internal bleeding. There's more nastiness to the venom, but I didn't want to get too graphic in these pages. It is also said that death can occur 15 minutes after being bitten. I did plan to post an illustration showing Bazel cradling her as she was dying, but I never finished it. :( (I hope to finish it some day.)
