I'm really happy with how this page turned out, as far as visuals go. It's one of those wordless transition pages, yes, but it looks pretty good.

… I've discovered something about myself; whenever I draw cities, they end up being a mixture of London and the older parts of Stockholm. o.O


As for the paintings on last week's page - there were many guesses, but none of you got it right. Mind you, they weren't easy to guess in the first place. The painting in the first panel is by John Bauer, famous Swedish fairytale illustrator - I don't know the name of the painting - and the second I found on Wikipedia a couple of weeks back; it's Unfinished Portrait of Daniel Boone, by Chester Harding, painted in 1820. Fun fact about this painting; Boone was 85 when it was painted, and so frail that a friend had to prop him up while Harding painted.
