KB: The beginning of the Monster Mash saga. This is the only time we tried any kind of multi-comic narrative, though it's extremely loose. I think it mostly works.

The dialogue in the second panel is among the worst I've ever written. I think I had just started listening to Prince's discography in its entirety and wanted to comment on it, but what I ended up writing is pretty stilted and juvenile.

The CryptKeeper in a Guided by Voices shirt holding a beer bong cracks me up, though.

GB: Coincidentally, I'm listening to Guided By Voices' "Alien Lanes" RIGHT NOW.

I had a huge master list of monsters and creatures and wildcards (like Grimace here) to distribute throughout the Monster Mash series, so I wouldn't leave any out. The best use of any of them here is Belial from "Basket Case" being visibly uncomfortable by the ketamine bro's screaming antics.

These would have looked much more atmospheric with gray tones and shadows. I'm annoyed.
