KB: This is parodying a certain kind of high-concept sitcom from the '80s. Alf is the most obvious example, but there's also Small Wonder and Out of This World.

GB: I had forgotten about this one but it makes me laugh, especially that scene with the FBI. I loved shows like this as an indiscriminate child viewer in the 80s, and this family is pretty clearly visually based on the Tanners from ALF. This goes in my Top Five Mudtowns.
