And the plot thickens. (And the story Mike is telling is only a slight exaggeration of a real event from when I worked the ren-faire. He had a towel, but it was very thin.)

@Zechikin: I, personally, never use Random encounters.  Every encounter has a purpose.  Might be as simple as testing a new mechanic, but it has a reason to be there.  I also run combat lite games.

@plymyer: Thanks.  I thought it did a nice job of both moving the group along, and displaying the monotony of any long trip.
