In real life, teeth of rodents (and rabbits too, they are'nt rodents, but Leporids XD ~> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leporidae grows into inside the teeth (like this poor one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/smg_skullboy/8608790427/ ). They never stops grows and are without nerves, so can be cut without pain with instruments like the last one in that page: http://ratfanclub.org/teeth.html
