Go has never sat through a whole horror movie, and is thus oblivious to how incredibly silly this is.

Everyone else is totally aware, they're just THAT confident. I mean, it's hard to be afraid of anything when you've got a cannon strapped to your back.

Or when you're McCoy.

After getting alot of advice on the darkness situation (and thank you very much for that, everyone) I've gotta say I kinda like the lighting on this one the best of the last three comics. I subdued the shading a bit (since there are light sources, they're just faint and far between), gave it a very subtle blue-ish tint instead of just totally darkening it, and I think it came out looking pretty decent. It's going to take a little more tweaking and working with levels to get it right where I want it, but it's definitely been a learning experience.

And yeah, the page is still sketchy. I'm going to hold off a little longer before trying the inking thing–I started to give it a go, but my line work is honestly pretty awful. It was suggested quite a few times that the sketchy look may be preferable anyway–apparently, some people were drawn to the different look of it, which is pretty awesome. I really appreciate the support from everybody, and I promise I'll at least give the ink thing a serious TRY at some point just so everyone can see what it looks like. Right now, though, I think I'm more worried about telling the story than perfecting the art, especially since things are about to get SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Speaking of serious business, holy crap. I spent some time (and money) on advertising, and seriously underestimated what sort of results I'd get. There's been ALOT more people reading and commenting lately, so I'd like to welcome all the newcomers. Sorry I haven't been responding to comments and such as much recently–it's been sort of hectic, and I got sort of sucked in to the whole advertising bit. Ad auctions are terribly addictive.

Really, I dunno what else to say. I'm pretty giggly over how many new people are reading the comic.
