Whenever the DM asks "Did you do X?" the correct answer is "Of course!".
So if you are DMing, whenever you ask a player if they did something, make sure you have a way to screw with them regardless of the answer.

And here we learn another important detail: in this version, the ones you know as "Mutants" are known as "Indigos". If it strikes you as familiar, it is the real-world name sometimes used for a kind of genius kids; but I figured that, in a world where people can move objects with their minds and control the weather with a thought, genius kids would be fairly less special. Indigo is also a color, by the way.

Of course, the actual reason to give them that name was that the DM wanted to be absolutely sure that powers don't have any kind of biochemical origin, because if they did, there'd be nothing preventing the players from injecting the entire party with Logan's blood so they all have healing powers.
