I know it's been a while since last update, but I did warn you that this was going to be sporadic. Anyways, I've got a long list of applicants now, so I'll try to put these things out faster. (Still not as fast as you'd want, though.)
This week, Dave McOwen's strip Nice Guy But gets sent up. NGB presented a problem because it's usually oriented as a literal strip; you know, three or four panels arranged horizontically. I could barely get the text balloons in, but, luckily enough, the last three updates have been in a window-type two-by-two panel layout that's more popular for Web strips, and way easier to cram new text into. So, Dave, sorry if you didn't want these pages to be done. (Visit Dave's site at www.dingosatemybaby.com.)
Anyways, I gotta go. I have to pack for a big school trip I'm taking tomorrow. The good news is I'll be going to New York City (say it like the Pace Picante guys: "NOO YAWK SITTEH?!?") to see the smash hit musical Spamalot. The bad news is that I'll be seeing it with a herd of Generic Park High School Thespian Society members, the snottiest and most egotistical of GPHS high schoolers. (Hey, don't look at me. I'm head of our school's improv group, JEFF. We're like the unloved younger stepchild of the Thespians.)
Bon voyage! (French for "I'm gonna throw up over the side of the ship now!")
Sincerely,
Ian Jay
