NPC_Girl

I was quite honestly surprised at everyones reaction yesterday… you actually seemed to think the idea as Felix as a girl was cool. Okay i totally take back what i said yesterday. I did not draw Felix as a girl, i drew Felix with BOOBS!!!!

This is the same picture of Felix. the only difference is that he no longer has breasts. It is still Felix. i have not girled him up or anything. Felix is already girly which was sort of my point. all i did to yesterdays picture was add boobs. which by default made him a girl. Those of you who actually thought he looked cuter like that because he was a "girl" are just weird. Felix was not drawn as a girl yesterday, he was drawn with boobs. which is why i personally thought it was sort of really disturbing that the only thing seperating Felix from being a girl is actually the lack of boobs.
But then again i am dealing with here a mainly male audience arn't i? I don't really know how many readers i have which are female so i assume seeing that most comic readers on the net do in fact tend to be male and me writing a gaming comic which is something that boys are into would draw a mainly male readership. I may be wrong, but if it is mainly girls that read this it could be argue that seeing i'm a girl and we girls tend to write rather femine things that my comic was origernally aimed at a female audience rather than male.
confusing isen't it? ^_^ me and my friends on bibble forums got into a really big debate over what gives a comic a readership and whether a female or male author matters.
I mean honestly when i started this comic i didn't have readership in mind. it was just a really funny idea i had one day and for some really bizar reason i just cannot exsplain i'm still drawing it today! but of course when i started it, it was really girly. Felix is girly, because i liked long haired characters because i RP'd allot with long haired characters and designed him from my RP character Victrix that was pretty much it. i don't think i really intended Felix to get as girly as he is now. he enver really used to be. he used to be so you could actually tell he was a guy. but sicne then my art has gotten better and i draw Felix generally with a thin pointed face and arlmond shaped eyes which are rather femine features when it comes to comics. not to mension his also short and quite slim. it doesn't help that he no longer wears armour which gave him a masculine fiseque. these days he can quite honestly be mistaken for a girl rather easily.
But the other characters… well they don't fit in with an audience type either. my only female character who should be Felix's love interest is a bossy tom boy. she's more masculin then my two male leads put together! and her agressive nature scares off any fan boy interest in her. sure she is pretty, amazingly so, but she just has such an agressive personality that the idea of her being with anyone is kind of comicle.
and deme… well his just the comic relief and plot convienence. and probably has a bigger fan base than the other two because he likes blowing shit up. though i still do have more fan art of Felix than him. cause Felix has a cool scyth and is just so lovable ;)
so yea i dunno… falling into audience convensions. i'm not sure NPC does that. its not really a girly comic and it is not compleatly a guys comic either because i'm not all tits and ass. i have no sex appeal that is to say in it. what i do have is a story and three characters who arepretty much like normal people. so i like to think NPC can be read by anybody you know?
geeze i'm really getting carried away in my rantings today arn't i? forget me! i don't even know what I'm talking about half the time ;)
