ZOMG!!!! Two updates in a week!!!! Am I suddenly £50 richer!? No don't be silly :P I just wanted to make this comic, suddenly inspired! (That and I don't have to read my reading for tommorow xD)
I like a bit of a challenge, and this page really was one. I had so many ways in how I wanted to do it. I wanted to smash the background and make it rain around them was the original. But I didn't know how to go about doing it, effects wise. I debated whether to add falling affects as well. But why add something unnecessary? They are falling through a black void of nothingness after all, you wouldn't be able to see them falling with nothing for them to fall against :P I don't know what I was thinking with the cartoony tears. xD It just seemed like the thing to do :3
I've been experimenting with my sytle a bit too, (didja notice?) Trying to make it look a bit more realistic… I had a little play with Deme's hair, mainly because Deme and Felix's hairstyle is a bit too similar for my tastes, (I don't know why, Felix's bangs used to start at the center of his forehead and bounce out, but now they hang to the side like Deme's) So I tried giving him a parting for his bangs, it looks similar, but now Deme has a bit of an over sweeping fringe, though I'll probably have his hair frizzled for the next few pages. till he gets a chance to brush it anyways ^^ Tell me what you think on it. Like? not like? Makes him too girly?
I'm kinda excited…. I might do a page for friday too. bweeeheeeheeeheee!!!! What's got me so excited!? I finally get to set the comic's main 'quest'!!!!! Yes!!! the character's are finally going to have a purpose other than run away!!!!! hehehehehehehehehehe!! It is exciting. But also sad that it's taken me 4 years to finally get to it. And the main quest is not "kill the evil emperor" like you'd expect. geeze guys, these are NPC's, they wouldn't be given anything so important! So what is it? What have I spent the last four friggen years building patiently up to!? You'll have to wait and see. ^^ I must say, the giving of the quest is far more entertaining then it was originally planned in my head. This way it seems more like blackmail rather than, do it cause we're bored with no other purpose. Less heroey this way. And gods knows we hate heroes in this comic :P I do worry sometimes that NPc is far too much like any other fantasy/ gamer/ action comic. That nothing I do is original anymore. That my comic was unique until I decided to turn it into some giant adventure story. *siiiigh* Well on the bright side, I hopefully still surprise you :P

edit: I've just remembered that Deme's meant to be blind. xD I'm horribly fortunate that the script for this page still works. And iv'e gone abck for the last 5 pages fixing it so his eyes are now white instead of grey/black. Good thing I was the only one to actually notice xD
