Well hello there, remember me? *dusts off the cobwebs* I should hope not or you miht start raising exspectasions. So after a month of scanners not working, work and allot of gaming I'm back to bring you a comic. I look at this page, and I know I'm annoyed at the colours. unfortunetly my laptop doesn't have the same colours i use for the cast on my computer. heck it took me a while to realise that Felix's waistcoat thing was grey instead of freaking blue. WTF man? the most annoying one is of course Felix's skin tone. it looks yellowy and oily and I don't like it. but I'm not one for messing around with skin tones, definetly when I'll have my beloved computer back next week. (thank god) and I have school work to do this week so i dunno if i'll draw up anouther NPC page…. I might. just to make up for all those pages i missed over december. but to be fair I did warn that would happen… course I didn't know it'd happen because my scanner hates my tablet. Anyways. I'm delighted to see my twitter has been in use by fans. four followers since I started it. woo. and for some reason my page views have gone up by a thousand… either people are checking my twitter daily via the comic or the little free advertising thing I joined up is really paying off. What free advertising thing? you may ask. well I'm sure everyones noticed the ad beside the comic. feel free to click on it. *thumbs up and rather obnoxiouse wink* cause I'm not being paid a penny to have it there. it's all really thanks to palace in the sky I host their ad for free and then they advertise my comic on their big comic horder site. they basically help your comic get noticed. and some of the stuff they advise on their forums is pretty helpful. So that's why the banner is there. not because i'm getting paid. but free endorsement of the comic. and well all know I just looove free things. hopefully this will pay off once I start updating regually again. which is looking like a hih happenence if uni is like last year by giving me a freaking month off while the tutors mark the essays they should of been marking over the freaking holidays. (woo) It just gives me chance to watch more nostalgia critic, Yahtzee and the angry video game nerd. these three i have been watching constantly over the holidays. cause they be awesome. it'd be awesomer if my internet at uni was faster then sliced bread…. but what can you do?
now as some of you might know (because you're creepy stalkers or something) I love prince of persia. Who can't love a game where the protaganist runs around freaking shirtless with a gorgeouse voice actor? *drool* those flips, spins, and bad ass fighting. it just makes a girl swoon. a new prince of persia has come out, and if you keep up with the twitter I've been playing it… and i've completed it. so here is my review, i'd like to do these more often… cause this is like a video game comic :P
prince of persia
Now I know I said some bad things about this game in my twitter…. mainly because there is allot at the beginning of the game that annoyed me. the tutoriel for one. I've played prince of persia I didn't need it and it didn't have a freaking off button. and when i did need it (for those damn sliding rings in the walls) it wasn;t there. hopeless piece of crap. the story is basic, dark god gets free blah blah blah, seal him away, blah blah blah end of the world. blah blah blah. woooe hold on a second, it says what in the instructions manuel!? "The prince born to an ordinary family, the prince is a drifter. he is a man without a title, a man without a calling. A prince in nickname only, he wanders from adventure to adventure in search of fortune" that's right. The prince of persia is not actually a prince. this pissed me off so much. the prince of persia should be a prince, his the prince! fuck he doesn't even get a name in this game. Elica doesn't even ask for one. what a bitch. i'm a whiney princess, blah blah blah you're a stupid theif, who i don't give a damn about. I was also annoyed that it doesn't mention that they actually say important cool stuff when you press the talk button. i thought it was just simple "you should jump onto that beam idiot" kind of thing at the beginning. not something that is a total proper cutscene info provider. you only learn 'the princes' or the kingdoms history through the talk button. and each new area of the game has different conversasions. I remember sitting through one where everytime you pressed the button t they were having an i spy game. which was kinda funny i admit. defintly when the characters seem so dry. the prince was really irritating. he should of had a better voice actor and some waaaay better lines. you know what he reminded me of? "Exscuuuuuuuuuse me princess" if you don't get it, go you tube it or something. you know he would have just been better shirtless and actually royal. but he could be a dirtbag jerk sometimes, and I enjoyed those bits. all protaganists need to be a bit of a jerk…. which kind of exsplains my characters I guess…. But I'm focusing too much on the story. honestly it makes it up with the ending.; if you play it, let the first credits roll and get elica to the the stone thing. the twist at the end will blow your mind. the actual gameplay is pretty easy if you've played prince of persia before. the double jumps are hard to see straight away. and you can die allot if your timing is off. but overall it wasn't hard. the views are gorgeouse and I like the light seeds. they make you have to go everywhere. pointless sometimes, but you get skin's if you get lots. yay skins. I only managed to unlock one (damn it, i wanted to see the prince shirtless damn yooou) the fights are pretty annoying. but they ease up once the monsters start using tenticals of doooom. as it's easier to get close with them with elica than it is to try and grab them with your damn claw. why does the prince even have that? I don't remember ever unlocking a scene where he exsplains… curse you prince. but again that's stretching my attension far too much on story. and i don't know if people want to hear about that… so i'll round this up. the game is good, once you get past the first levels. they try and make it unliniar by giving you a choice of going whereevr you freaking please. which is pretty awesome. the boss fights can go on or are too hard or too easy. depending which boss. out of all of them i found the alchermist and the concubine hardest… the warrior and hunter were pretty easy and predictable. though they tried to make the warrior harder…. the boss battle at the end could of been harder. the camera angle made it difficult and i fell a bit, but it wasn't really hard until i had to jump from one crumbling rock to the next at a side view camera angle. it made me think of the easy level of pop sands of time ending. sooo easy. but then again i guess elica's father is meant to be the real boss…. i dunno, i see it as the death god some might see it as daddy. who cares? it was easy. elica's father was a bit hard, but in some ways easier than the other bosses. I feel the game still could of been improved… maybe build on the prince and elica's apparent love. actually it seems one sided…. or none sided…. that's just confusing… but i guess the concubine was right when she said she saw the prince loved elica…. which makes me wish i had fought the concubine last out of the four bosses. it would have fitted better with the ending xD blah, i obsess too much over story. but i'm a writer, it's what i like. RPG's. and to me a game needs a good story behind it or it's not a good game. the new PoP needs some work, but some parts of it are pretty solid and enjoyable. so I do recomend it. it hasn;t butchered the series. and heck, yahtzee who foresaw horrors when he saw the trailer in E3 even said it was a good game. so feel free to give it a chance. and remember what i said about the ending. BLOW YOU AWAY!
