Nancy is the first webcomic I've ever done. Shocking noone. But what this means is that I'm still working out a few things stylistically, and I count on feedback to tell me what works and what doesn't.
Now, on a practical level, I'm going out of town for a week on Sunday, and I don't have any comic backlog. So, in the interests of time, I'm trying out a style that, hopefully, would eventually let me churn out comics daily. This is kind of a radical departure from the other art style, however, and I don't want to irk any readers I have by totally throwing you off with a new art style. So tell me what you think? Would you rather Nancy be a black and white (and occasionally color) frequently updated strip in this style, or a seldom updated full color strip.
Personally, I kind of dig this style… It kind of harkens back to the original Wonder Woman style, I think… it's so retro. But is it Nancy? Gimme feedback, y'all!
About this punchline… I am probably the only one who's going to find it amusing, and that's just because it's something I say all the time. "People who run yellow lights go to hell!" I'll shout while driving, or, "People who don't use their blinkers make the baby Jesus cry!" Emp is totally based on that part of me. It's extra funny, because he's a demon.
The contest is still on! I've already said enough in this comment box, but if you haven't already been pestered to death about entering this contest, check one of the pages prior to this one. Deadline is December 20th.
