Since this was always intended as a proof-of-concept of sorts, I wanted to jump right into the action without getting overly tied up in exposition. Still, it felt like it was necessary to give at least a general set-up, and for that I turned to old silver-age comics, where the practice of retelling origins on one page was a semi-regular occurrence. Aping that style, I was able to put together something quick and punchy that I think helps Issue 0 get on its feet.

Funnily enough, this was actually the last page I ended up drawing for the issue, and hadn't been a part of the original script right until I committed to it.
