Thinking of only using Cog as a muppet-former in my comic.

Yes or no? I just think it'd be funny to have a parts-former as a positive muppet: "Hi-ho, take my arm and use it as a melee weapon…" It gets returned all mangled and all he can say is, "Yeesh!"
