'Sup, suckers?

I wrote out another newspost earlier, but I wasn't in my right frame of mind. So.. let's take another shot at this.

Actually, I've got a very important bit of news that I've been keeping under my hat recently. I suppose it's about time to let the masses in on what's coming.

Not this coming Friday, but the one after that, the comic strip is goinna take on an entirely different new look. The most significan change, and the one every one is going to notice first, is that I am no longer going to be doing the strip in full color. This is a decision I'm sure a few of you are unhappy to hear about, but trust me, it's for the best.

My reasons for dropping the full color include that it takes far too long, my workspace in Ohio isn't coloring-friendly, and the fact that I really just don't like doing it.

I've shown samples of the new style to many of my friends, fellow webcomic artists, and a few select fans. I've gotten nods of approval from all of them.

I think the reason so many people cringe when I tell them that the strips is going black and white, is that they automatically assume that it's going to be all the same old drawings, just no color. However, I'm changing my inking style, and taking more creative approaches to the overall execution of the strip.

As some of you know, I work about 3 weeks ahead of time on the strip. I've gotten about 4 strips done in the new style. Allow me to tell you that I don't think that the comic has ever looked better.

So, anyway, that's the big news. Please don't email me asking me to not stop coloring the strips. It's already happened. I love the results, and I'm not going back. Not anytime soon, anyway.

Feel free to email me any other comments about the situation, though. Or, even better, don't forget we have a forum where you can express all thoughts and quips on.

Take care. I'll check back in with you all on Friday.
