As a few of the School Nights readers may notice, some of the characters underwent a little redesign, particularly our teacher here. I think she looks a lot better. A little into the history of the characters in today's comic!
Val was an amalgam character from Beefy Goodniss (from the Soylent Jery Ads) and Zerlocke, and Zet was the fictional offspring of Zeno and Azelea. A few other characters appear here but we'll likely cover them when they show up more prominently. However, one character in this scene was not an amagam/what if, and very well may have been the precursor for the characters of CTV. Care to guess? ^_^ Also, the teacher is Minerva Amelius, of course. She was a castaway character from the first Starving Artists comic on DD, and I liked the design so I thought I'd toss her into the Academy as a teacher. While she looked somewhat like the way I drew myself (except not after this intentional and much needed redesign she actually looks cute-ish I hope) I assure you she is not me. So sue me, I like the name Amelius! ^_^ (no wait, please don't sue!)It'll be fun when it gets around to explaining the weird hand of hers though hehe.
Anyway, progress on the graphic novel is going well. Nick says if I keep up the pace we might be getting in ahead of schedule. Here's hoping!
