#22 Mistaken Identity

Small reference to a certain popular TV show from the 90's, see if you can catch the reference.

One of our favorite parts designing this comic is comming up with the fictional TV shows our characters enjoy. Magic Space Ducks & Mindy Macabre (and a few others which will show up later) stuff usually comes out Amy & myself talking about our favorite TV shows. Both of us are big fans of both japanese and american cartoons.

I don't know why but for some reason Duck cartoons used to be all the rage. I never thought about it before we started writing magic space ducks, but a lot of the great cartoons used to have ducks in them. Duck Tales, Dark Wing Duck, Count Duckula, Donald Duck, Daffy Duck & Plucky Duck cartoons and I'm sure a few others I am forgetting.

Amy & I slighlty disagree on Daffy Duck though. I enjoyed the more insane Daffy of Tex Avery (characterize by his trade mark WooHooWooHoo absent in later jerkwad versions of the character) and other early cartoons while Amy likes the more parody character of cartoons like in Duck Twacy or Duck Dodgers (and crafty sadistic salesman Daffy). Both of us however dislike the current version of Daffy a surly second string screw up rival to Bugs Bunny.
