~Page 25 – Highlights~

Do you realize that sports highlighters are being paid to describe to us exactly what we’re seeing?

“Oh, and what a nice catch.”

“Oh, is *that* what a catch is? Silly me, I thought that was a tackle! Thank goodness for your clarification, Mr. Sports Highlighter.”

When being interview for that kind of job, what do you say?

“Well, I often point out the obvious – by the way, I noticed you are wearing pants – and tend to add distracting commentary to tense situations – I had Cheerios for breakfast this morning – and most of what I say is actually useless information that you don’t even care to hear. Oh, I have a brother.”

What qualities are sought? Redundancy? Ability to distract? Narrating skills?
